Jonathan Gilbert awarded Top 40 under 40
"We at Feldman, Fox & Morgado are pleased to congratulate Attorney Jonathan T. Gilbert for being selected to the 40 Under 40," says Managing Shareholder, Mitchell L. Feldman. The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 has selected Attorney Gilbert to receive this exclusive honor, designating him as one of the top trial attorneys in Florida under the age of 40.
The National Trial Lawyers Association: Top 40 under 40 is a professional organization comprised of America's top young trial attorneys. Membership into this organization is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those individuals who exemplify superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as a young lawyer under the age of 40.
Attorney Gilbert is involved both with the legal community and as a Tampa Bay area community volunteer. Jon recently volunteered to participate in the Florida Justice Association's 2011 E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition. He is actively involved in the Hillsborough County Bar Association Leadership Institute, and is a member of the Tampa Bay American Inn of Court. Outside of the legal community, Attorney Gilbert volunteers as a Big Brother for the Pinellas County Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
"This award recognizes Attorney Gilbert's success as a litigator; but more than that, Jon is an amazing inspiration to the firm and a role model for the legal community as a whole," concludes Feldman.
The Law Firm of Feldman, Fox & Morgado has Moved
This month, the full-service law firm of Feldman, Fox & Morgado has moved. Previously located in beautiful Rocky Point with a view of the entire bay, the Firm has moved into a single building in the Westshore Business District.
According to the Westshore Alliance, "the Westshore district is Florida's largest office community - home to first class hotels, abundant meeting space, upscale shopping, entertainment, and Tampa International Airport.
"We are very excited about the move," says Managing Shareholder Mitchell L. Feldman. "In order to support our ever-expanding list of clientele, we decided to combine the two Tampa offices into a single, exclusive building."
The building, located at 501 North Reo Street, was originally built in 1982, by an architectural firm to use as their showcase. Amazing design and simple layout are the hallmarks of this building. But the highlight is the two-story atrium and loft boardroom, which create a feeling of an open-air, outdoor space.

Gilbert Participates as Mock Judge
Feldman, Fox & Morgado is proud to announce that Attorney Jonathan Gilbert has volunteered to participate in the Florida Justice Association's 2011 E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition. Being held in Tampa this weekend, Attorney Gilbert will be one of the mock Judges.
Hosted by the Young Lawyers Section, the competition will feature several bright, future young attorneys from around the state competing for a $1,000 scholarship and for the bragging rights associated with winning this prestigious event.
"This weekend I will be judging three of the four rounds of the Zehmer Mock Trial Competition at the Hillsborough County Courthouse" says Gilbert. "I am very interested in participating because this is an event involving law students from 12 law schools nationally. This event could provide an excellent opportunity to help our soon-to-be lawyers with honing their trial skills."
The E. Earle Zehmer Mock Trial Competition is one of the premier and distinguished mock trial events in Florida. "It is also always beneficial to learn by teaching, and I think judging the competition will provide some benefit to me in that respect," says Attorney Gilbert.

Many times, the boss puts pressure on workers to get the job done despite additional unpaid hours.
"A lot of people are scared to lose their job, and they'll take whatever position they can get to get an income stream," said Brad Tobin, an attorney with Feldman, Fox & Morgado. Tobin specializes in employment law, and his firm receives hundreds of calls a month involving overtime issues. Read more
