Content: The firm is now representing the surviving spouse of a gentleman who died after developing Deep Vein Thrombosis, blood clots, and a pulmonary embolism after an orthopedic shoulder surgery in the hospital. This was a gentleman who was 53 years of age. The doctor on the morning after the surgery gave him an injection of an ESA because of concern of blood loss. However, the physician failed to monitor the blood levels thereafter review from the necessity of Anticoagulation Therapy which led to him developing the clots and his death. The sole cause of his death is the Procrit.
