The question is what is the Medication Guide?
The first thing to know is that the Food and Drug Administration has made it a requirement that the physician prescribing Procrit or an ESA, to hand that patient the Medication Guide. Why? Because it is a dangerous drug. One that has a risk of death involved and the FDA mandated in these type of circumstances that the patient be fully informed of the risks involved in order to make that informed decision of whether they want to take the drug or not
